Who wrapped me in bamboo leaves?!

Once, I stood as the sacred guardian of the ancient Shu—

Forged in bronze, enshrined beneath the celestial tree,

Watching centuries of moonlight ripple through golden seas of rice.

In that age, grain was more than food; it was heaven’s covenant.

The Ancient Shu people offered jade to rivers, grains to earth,

Their prayers rising with the smoke of ceremonial fires.

And I, silent witness, carried their hopes to the skies.

Yet now... I've actually become a zongzi?

Sticky rice clinging, bamboo leaves fragrant...

This... is your modern way of worship?

  Honestly... not bad at all!

As time flows, the forms of festivals continuously change,

But every year on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month remains a time to connect with family and honor tradition.

From solemn ceremonies to Heaven praying for harvests, to the steaming zongzi gracing tables today,

This profound affection rooted in the land has never changed.

From Sanxingdui, I wish that on this day,

You are gently wrapped in joy, peace, and ancient blessings.

  Happy Dragon Boat Festival!
