In the morning of September 27th, the 2025 Sanxingdui Forum, themed "Civilizational Exchange from an Archaeological Perspective," grandly commenced in Deyang. At the opening ceremony, accompanied by the melodious symphony "Ancient Rhymes of Bashu · Sanxingdui," guests immersed themselves in the themed exhibition "An Encounter Across Millennia," experiencing the century-long archaeological journey of the ancient Shu civilization.

This year's forum unveiled significant new research findings:
The burial dates of Sanxingdui's sacrificial pits No. 3, 4, 6, and 8 have a 95.4% probability of falling within the late Shang Dynasty. This result provides crucial evidence for clarifying the chronology of the sacrificial pits and constructing a refined timeline of the site.
In bronze ware research, the unique "core-rib – strip-type core support" technique effectively addressed the challenges of molding slender and curved vessels, showcasing Sanxingdui's distinctive innovation and localized expression within existing technical frameworks.

Additionally, significant progress has been made in multidisciplinary studies, including gold working techniques, painted bronze decoration, standardization of pottery production, rice cultivation methods, and ivory conservation technologies.
During the launch of the "Globalization Sanxingdui" international communication initiative, the Guimet Museum in France announced plans to exhibit Sanxingdui treasures next year.

Sanxingdui is no longer just a symbolic civilization from textbooks but an audible, tangible, and open-to-dialogue civilizational entity.

Through the power of ancient Shu, the forum showcases the splendid achievements of Chinese civilization to the world, writing a contemporary chapter of civilizational exchange.
