This exhibition “Behind the Masks: Discovering Sanxingdui and Jinsha ” will be held from November 8 to 10 at the Library of St Anne’s College, University of Oxford. It will revisit the excavation history of the two gold ages of ancient Shu civilization—Sanxingdui and Jinsha, as well as the Sino-British archaeological exchange. Additionally, the event will feature 17 precious replicated artifacts, along with AR reconstructions of the Sanxingdui and Jinsha excavation sites and ancient ruins.

Concurrently, the academic symposium “China through the Lens of Archaeology: History, Literature and Art” invited leading experts from Oxford University and China in the field of Chinese archaeology to deliver keynote speeches.
The event is open to the public, welcoming scholars, students, and anyone interested in Chinese art, history, and archaeology.
