Dressed in magnificent ritual costumes, the “Ancient Shu priest” paraded through the streets of Kuanzhai Alley, while the melody of the musical "Jinsha" echoed through the crowd. On the eve of International Museum Day, the “Ancient Shu Jinsha Neighborhood Market” officially opened, bringing Ancient Shu civilization into the heart of urban life.

On May 17th, the event was jointly organized by the Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum, Jinsha Street, Funan Street, Chadianzi Street, and Kuanzhai Alley. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the discovery of the Jinsha Site. More than just a cultural event, this market became a bridge connecting communities, museums, and the public through shared heritage and creativity.
The event featured multiple sections, including the “Community and Youth Co-creation Market,” the “Ancient Shu Fun Station,” and a variety of intangible cultural heritage workshops. Over 500 handcrafted items inspired by ancient Shu elements were showcased, while experiences such as paper-cutting, rubbing art, Shu brocade weaving, bamboo weaving, and engraving attracted enthusiastic citizens.

The Jinsha Site Museum also partnered with the Sanxingdui Museum to launch interactive games, allowing visitors to experience ancient Shu culture in a relaxed and engaging way.
